Kathleen Benton is the President and CEO of Hospice Savannah, Inc. and the former Director of Ethics and Palliative Care at St. Joseph’s/Candler Hospital. Born and raised on Isle of Hope, she has been a passionate healthcare advocate her entire life, beginning when her brother Daniel was born with Proteus Syndrome. She is the author of Daniel’s World, a children’s book that focuses on the acceptance of kids with disabilities, and The Skill of End-of-Life Communication for Clinicians. She earned a Ph.D. in Public Health Leadership from Georgia Southern University.
