In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.
Yes! Anyone is welcome to apply during the open call for speakers. TEDx speakers are dedicated individuals willing to commit their time and energy to presenting their ideas. If you have an idea that could change everything, then you should apply. Note: TEDx talks cannot be self-promotional.
So long as it’s not for consecutive years, you are welcome to apply again.

TEDxSavannah is designed to be a fully immersive, carefully curated experience. Selected speakers spend months working with a coaching team to perfect their talks, so come prepared to be both supportive and impressed. In between the talks, we’ll also share TED videos that fit with our theme and help add to the ideas that change everything.
A key component of TEDxSavannah is the opportunity it provides for conversation and the active exchange of ideas. Throughout the event, there are lengthy breaks to facilitate discussion. Attendees are provided coffee and light snacks during the breaks and a speaker meet-and-greet immediately follows the final talk. In order to enjoy the full benefit of TEDxSavannah, we encourage all attendees to commit to attending the entirety of the TEDxSavannah program.
Like every TEDx event around the world, we will be filming TEDxSavannah. You will see our production crew hard at work throughout the event. Please respect any directions they give.
TEDxSavannah has a limited capacity, and each year, tickets sell out very quickly. Tickets are available via Eventbrite and not for purchase at the door. It is very rare that tickets remain when event day arrives, so we encourage you to purchase tickets early.
