Kate Blair — Foster Care Changemaker

Kate Blair is an advocate for every child in the greater Savannah area. She serves as the Executive Director of Brightside Child & Family Advocacy, a local nonprofit organization that provides services to prevent child abuse and neglect by ​strengthening and supporting healthy family relationships. Under her leadership, the organization has experienced remarkable growth and launched transformative programs, including Brighter Futures, which supports youth transitioning out of foster care.

Prior to joining Brightside Child & Family Advocacy, Kate served as the Director of Development and Communications at Step Up Savannah where she spearheaded initiatives to improve policies and formed collaborative community partnerships.

Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Communications from Armstrong State University and is a graduate of Leadership Savannah. She has lived in Savannah for 18 years and currently serves on the board of directors for Tharros Place and the Supervised Visitation Network Worldwide.
